2nd Place · Large Color
At the 2026 Table Rock Tattoo Convention in Branson, Missouri, I spent two days creating this calf tattoo. The finished piece received 2nd Place in Large Color.
It was a weekend of tattooing, catching up with friends and meeting people who stopped by the booth. Here’s a closer look at the piece I created and the recognition it received.
Portrait, Color & Contrast
In this piece, I combined black & grey portrait shading with orange, pink and purple accents. The green eyes stand out against the darker areas, while curved lines carry the composition down the calf.
The photographs show the expression in the face, the changes in color and how the different elements connect across the piece.
2nd Place in Large Color
I was happy to finish the weekend with 2nd Place in Large Color for the tattoo I created during the convention.
